1. Morning Mojito Smoothie

Usually enjoyed at night (and with alcohol), the Mojito has a distinct mint flavor that separates it from other cocktails. The mint brings a refreshing taste to mask the harsh flavors of the rum. Although there is no rum in this recipe, the mint still does bring a refreshing taste that will help wake you up in the morning.

Ingredients:

  • 2 handfuls spinach
  • 1 Persian cucumber
  • 1 apple, cored, chopped
  • 10 leaves mint
  • 1/2 lemon, squeezed
  • 1 Tbsp. flaxseed
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 cup ice

2. Orange Gingersnap Smoothie

Chalk full of essential vitamins and nutrients, this orange gingersnap smoothie is a great lunchtime drink that will help energize you to get through the rest of your work day. The orange provides a boost of vitamin C, while the ginger adds an extra kick of spice to really feel awake. This almond snickers smoothie is packed with potassium, protein and healthy fats. If you are daring enough, you can also add a snickers bar to make this a sweet treat!

Ingredients:

  • 2 handfuls collard greens
  • 2 bananas
  • 1 Tbsp. cacao powder
  • 2 Tbsp. sliced almonds
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 cup ice

4. Apple Crisp Smoothie

This smoothie features baobab powder, which comes from an anti-aging fruit typically found in Africa and Madagascar. It contains a lot of vitamin C and it forms collagen and elastin, which helps your skin become more elastic and stronger.
